The Glen Innes Health Hub, operated by Rural Fit has announced its first service provider, HealthBright.

Set to open in March 2025, the Glen Innes Health Hub promises to change how regional and rural communities access essential health services.

Rural Fit Managing Director Andrew Mahony said the partnership would help improve access to mental health care for the local community.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with HealthBright to deliver high-quality, accessible and affordable mental health programs which support the local community,” Mr Mahony said.

“One in five Australians experience a mental illness in their lifetime. The Glen Innes Health Hub’s first partner, HealthBright, will open up a world of choices for specialist treatment, all from the convenience and comfort of Glen Innes.”

HealthBright CEO Sarah Richardson highlighted the importance of ensuring mental health care is available to all Australians, regardless of their circumstances.

“By offering high-quality, accessible, and affordable online mental health support, we’re removing common barriers Australians face in accessing support, such as cost and where they live,” Ms Richardson said.

“HealthBright is a hub of digital mental health clinics, providing quicker and more convenient access to care for all Australians. Our telehealth services are available within days or weeks, rather than months.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Rural Fit to help deliver essential health services to the local community at the Glen Innes Health Hub.”

The Glen Innes Health Hub, located on Grey Street in the former Westpac Bank building, will serve as a centralised location for health services, offering information and education to the community. The initiative, known as Better Health for the Bush, is being delivered in partnership with the PHN and Rural Fit.

Additional partners are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
