Established over 180 years ago, Australian Unity is Australia’s first wellbeing company, delivering health, wealth and care services to members and communities across the country.
Within the New England region, Australian Unity’s Neighbourhood team supports clients to live safely and independently in their own homes across Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Inverell, Bingara and Moree. Services include domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation, transport, social support and access to allied health services, helping older Australians remain connected to their communities.
On 25 February, Australian Unity officially celebrated the opening of its new Glen Innes office with a morning tea launch. The event welcomed community members, local service providers and partners, providing an opportunity to connect, share information and showcase the supports available within the region. Their office, in Bourke Street, is directly opposite Smeatons.
The new office represents Australian Unity’s ongoing commitment to strengthening local connections and improving access to home care services for the New England community. The team, led by Anda Chaffey looks forward to continuing to work alongside local organisations and residents to support wellbeing and independence close to home.
Our goal is to provide support, information and connection with the Glen Innes community and do our part in connecting our local elders with supports – either permanently or temporarily, we work with each individual to tailor service delivery to each individual
