Glen Innes Severn Council is continuing to closely monitor water levels at Beardy Weir as dry conditions persist across the region, with current Level 2 water restrictions remaining in place for Glen Innes under Council’s Drought Management Plan. Glen Innes locals aren’t quite done with swimming season yet, with Council confirming an extension for the Glen Innes Aquatic Centre into April. Instead of closing at the end of March, the pool will remain open until Sunday 19 April 2026, giving residents a few extra weeks to squeeze in a swim as the weather begins to cool.
