The clinic is part of Skin Patrol’s mobile health program, which delivers onsite skin checks across metropolitan, regional and rural Australia.

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with one in three Australians expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime. Early detection remains one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of serious outcomes. Skin Patrol’s clinics are led by qualified medical doctors and focus on thorough, professional skin examinations. Where a suspicious lesion is identified, high-quality imaging is captured, and a referral is arranged with the patient’s GP, a local skin cancer clinic, a specialist, or one of Skin Patrol’s own doctors for follow-up care.

A spokesperson for Skin Patrol said the Glen Innes clinic aims to make preventive healthcare easier to access for the local community. “Early detection saves lives. By bringing doctor-led skin checks directly to Glen Innes, we remove the need for long travel or long wait times. It is a simple appointment that can make a meaningful difference.”
