Just 34 kilometres from Emmaville — an easy 30-minute drive — the Pindari Centre has launched a new hands-on Homesteading and Farm Stay experience, inviting visitors to slow down, roll up their sleeves and enjoy authentic country life.
Set on more than 2,000 acres beside the picturesque Pindari Dam, the new program builds on the Centre’s long-standing reputation for outdoor education. Guests can take part in daily homestead activities such as feeding and milking goats, collecting fresh eggs, meeting horses and foals, harvesting honey from flow hives, and learning practical farm-to-table and sustainable living skills.
Pindari Centre was founded by Barry Rodgers OAM, a respected educator with more than 40 years’ experience in outdoor education and leadership programs. He is also the founder of Emu Gully Adventure and the founding principal of Hillcrest Christian College in Victoria.
“These experiences go well beyond a typical farm stay,” Mr Rodgers said. “They reconnect people with practical skills and shared experiences that support a meaningful and healthy life.”
Designed for families, homeschoolers, couples and travellers interested in sustainability or off-grid living, the homesteading programs complement Pindari Centre’s established school camps and leadership programs. Accommodation options include on-site stays, van parking or structured programs, depending on season and availability. For more information, visit www.pindaricentre.com.au.
