Glen Innes High School is seeking local allied health professionals and organisations willing to provide work placements for a dedicated group of Year 11 students.
The students are currently completing a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, which requires each participant to undertake 120 hours of practical workplace experience within an allied health setting.
These hardworking students have demonstrated a strong commitment to their studies and are eager to gain practical skills while learning from experienced local professionals. Suitable placements may be available across a range of allied health services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, podiatry, rehabilitation and other related fields.
By becoming a host employer, local providers can help young people explore rewarding health careers while contributing to the future allied health workforce of Glen Innes and the wider region. Keeping training opportunities local may also encourage more young people to remain in—or return to—the community after completing further study.
Participating providers will be supported throughout the placement process, with further information available about workplace requirements and the activities students can undertake.
