Leeton was the first stop, and while the course proved a little too good for our players this time, they returned with plenty of great stories and new golf friendships. The group stayed at the same caravan park as more than 20 other players who had attended the Glen Innes Vets Week of Golf earlier this year. Many of them promised to return to our town next year, sharing very positive comments about our course, community, and tournament.
Next stop was the Griffith Vets Week of Golf. If we think our greens are slick here in Glen Innes – take a trip to Griffith! You’ll quickly learn what really slick greens are.
Congratulations to Di Brown, who won the A Grade Ladies event on Thursday, and Shirley Bruce, who finished runner-up. John Stewart also had a great result, taking out the Accuracy Drive on Friday.
