Alyssa Montgomery to visit Library

USA Today Bestselling author and winner of the 2025 Romance Book of the Year (RUBY)
award for long contemporary romance “Return to Hope Creek”, Alyssa J. Montgomery is
currently travelling to promote her latest release –“ Whispers at Wattle Crossing.”

She is looking forward to meeting romance readers and hopes also to meet aspiring authors
at her free library talk at 11.30am on July 8th

Alyssa currently lives South of Sydney and has recently retired from her speech pathology
private practice to devote more time to her writing. As well as being a speech pathologist,
she’s worked as a professional pianist and did an 18 month stint as an international flight
attendant with Qantas Airways.

Alyssa began writing contemporary romance when she had her first children (twins) and was
published in 2013 by Escape Publishing which became part of the Harper Collins company.
Since then, she’s had 22 books published, including three medieval romances that she self-
published under the pen name Alyssa James. Her Hope Creek Series is a multi-award
winning rural romance series which includes some suspense and mystery. Her latest story,
“Whispers at Wattle Crossing” is set in the Australian outback in a fictious township and is
another riveting romantic suspense.
