Regional Australia Bank and Summerland Bank have announced their intention to merge.
Summerland operates as a Mutual Bank and has ten branches across the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and South East Queensland.
Regional Australia Bank has told its members via its website that there will be no change of name away from “Regional Australia Bank” and that there will be no changes to accounts or fees. They have also assured members that there will be no branch closures.
Should the merger be successful, it will not come into effect until 2026.
