Regional Australia Bank (RAB) has once again demonstrated its strong community focus, distributing more than $2.8 million to over 2,500 community organisations through its annual Community Partnership Program (CPP). At the Glen Innes Bowling Club on Tuesday night, representatives from 87 local organisations gathered to celebrate the impact of this year’s funding. Regional Australia Bank Proposes Merger With Summerland

Regional Australia Bank and Summerland Bank have announced their intention to merge. Summerland operates as a Mutual Bank and has ten branches across the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and South East Queensland. Regional Australia Bank has told its members via its website that there will be no change of name away from "Regional Australia Bank" and that there will be no changes to accounts or fees. They have also assured members that there will be no branch closures. Should the merger be successful, it will not come into effect until 2026.
