Did you make a New Year’s resolution to go back to study in 2025?  Or have you just plucked up the courage to try something new?  The TAFE open days 13th-17th January from 9am – 3pm could offer you a chance to explore some viable options.

Because they are provided virtually, hundreds of courses are on offer.  There are short 1 day courses, 3 month courses held once a week, more intense ones and ones that build on previous study.  These courses can lead to either certificates, diplomas or degrees.  It would be advisable to check out the options prior to undertaking them and that’s what the open days are all about.

Most of the courses start at the beginning of February.  While there are fees, these are calculated on individual circumstances and can even be free or subsidised.  There is plenty of support offered, with extra support for those with a disability.  An Aboriginal student support officer will be coming over from Armidale next Wednesday to introduce herself to local participants.

Dee Ross from the TAFE connected learning centre stated that last year the enrolments reached 557, the largest cohort in the area.  She encourages everyone who has any interests at all, to come along and see if there’s some form of study that might interest them.
