Council Investigates Waste Collection Incident

Glen Innes Severn Council and waste management contractor JR Richards & Sons are investigating a recent incident where recycling bins were collected with general waste.

Upon being made aware of the issue, JR Richards & Sons’ local management team worked closely with their operations team to review the matter and confirm the details.

Council has stated that immediate steps have been taken to address the situation and ensure that all waste collections are conducted correctly in accordance with Council’s waste and recycling services.

In a statement released on its social media platforms, Council reaffirmed that both JR Richards & Sons and Glen Innes Severn Council remain committed to providing reliable waste and recycling services. They also expressed appreciation for residents’ understanding and reassured the community that measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence of the issue.
