Yardings were down this week, with a total of 1,484 head offered. The sale featured a majority of well-finished lambs, alongside a mix of heavy and store mutton. The usual buying
group was present, including JBS along with some strong re-stocker competition.

It was an extremely strong sale overall, with heavy, well-covered XB lambs selling from $265 up to a record-breaking $410.

Prepared by Daryl, Dawn, Brian Lewis and Roshien Mercer, these lambs estimated to weight 85+kg liveweight and were bought by Thomas Foods Tamworth.

Well-finished, lightweight lambs ranged between $220–$260. Limited numbers of store XB lambs were yarded, making between $150–$188, depending on quality. Store, lightweight Merino lambs sold from $44.

Heavy, well-covered XB hoggets topped the market at $200, with most selling down to $185. Heavy, good-conditioned Merino hoggets ranged from $120–$162, while a small number of store Merino hoggets sold between $25–$80.

Well-covered, heavy XB ewes and wethers sold from $250 down to $140. Store XB ewes drew solid competition from sheep traders, reaching $90. Heavy Dorper ewes hit the $170
mark. Heavy, well-covered Merino ewes and wethers made $150–$162, while store Merinos ranged from $106–$130.

Large, fat rams sold between $100–$140.
