Residents of the New England region are being encouraged to have their say on the future of transport, with Transport for NSW bringing its consultation team to Glen Innes next week as part of the Draft New England North West Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Plan.

The draft plan outlines a 20-year vision for transport across the region, identifying priorities aimed at supporting community needs, land use, freight, road safety and future economic growth. Community feedback will help refine the plan and identify any gaps or local concerns before it is finalised. Here is the link. (Hover and click)

As part of the consultation process, Transport for NSW representatives will visit Glen Innes on Wednesday, June 3, from 11am to 2pm outside the Service NSW office in Mackenzie Mall, Grey Street.

Residents, business owners and visitors are invited to speak directly with staff, ask questions and provide feedback on local transport issues and opportunities affecting the district.

Community members can also complete an online survey, upload written submissions or contribute ideas through an interactive mapping tool highlighting areas needing improvement using this link. (hover and click)

The consultation period for the Draft New England North West Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Plan closes on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
