Water NSW has issued a red alert warning for blue-green algae in Beardy Waters and Beardy Waters Weir. This naturally occurring seasonal issue affects untreated water and has implications for recreational use and livestock. Beardy Waters Dam will welcome experts from WaterNSW on 6 November as part of a collaboration with Glen Innes Severn Council aimed at enhancing the monitoring and safety of local dam infrastructure.
