Meals on Wheels Volunteers Replaced

After around 40 years of community volunteer involvement, volunteers are no longer being used in the Glen Innes Meals on Wheels service. As of 1 July 2025, the delivery of meals is being carried out entirely by paid staff from Life Choices Support Services (LC-SS), a division of Glen Innes Severn Council, using its existing workforce. Congratulations to Jim and Elaine Wilson on achieving their milestone 65th wedding anniversary earlier this month. They became the recipients of letters and cards from a number of public figures, including the King and Queen, celebrating this significant moment in their lives. Francis James Wilson and Elaine Gwendoline Wilson (nee Sweeney) met at rock n roll practice at the Presbyterian Church and later got engaged.
