Santa Claus is coming to town this weekend, bringing festive joy and plenty of lollies for the young and young at heart in Glen Innes. The annual Santa’s Lolly Run, a community initiative led by local firefighters, will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, spreading Christmas cheer through the streets of the town. Friday Night Schedule On Friday evening, Santa and his helpers will begin their journey at 5:00 pm from the northern end of Grey Street. Woolworths Manager to Retire After a Remarkable Career

Brian Cormick, store manager at the Glen Innes Woolworths is retiring after 42 years with the organisation. He started his working career in 1982 as a trolley boy, aged 16, at a store in Maitland. Two years later, he was a grocery department manager. Since then, he’s worked at a number of stores throughout the state, with his natural ability being guided and mentored as he worked his way up the corporate ladder.
