Remembrance Day 2024 Commemorations in Glen Innes

Glen Innes residents are invited to come together this Remembrance Day to honour the sacrifices of Australian servicemen and women. This year’s commemorative activities are set to take place on Monday, 11 November, with a traditional march and service to be held in the heart of Glen Innes.

Veterans and other participants wishing to join the march are asked to assemble at 10.00 am on the southern side of Bourke Street, at the intersection with Grey Street. The march will begin promptly at 10.15 am, proceeding along Bourke Street to Anzac Park, where the Remembrance Day service will take place. In case of rain, the service will move to the Town Hall on Grey Street.

The official Commemorative Service will commence at 10.30 am in Anzac Park. Following the service, veterans, their families, and invited guests are invited to a luncheon hosted at the Glen Innes Services Club, located at 120 Grey Street.
