Glen Innes Severn Council is set to celebrate Youth Week 2025 with a range of activities from 9 to 17 April. The program, coordinated by The Youth Booth, will offer young people opportunities to participate in fun and skill-building events, connect with their peers, and engage with their community.
This year’s Youth Week theme, “We are the future, and the future is now,” reflects the initiative’s focus on empowering young people. A variety of free events will be available for local youth aged 12 and over, with bookings required via the Glen Innes Severn Council website: https://www.gisc.nsw.gov.au/Events-Activities/Youth-Week-2025.

Encouraging Youth Participation
Glen Innes Severn Council Mayor Margot Davis emphasised the importance of youth engagement in community events.
“Youth Week is a fantastic opportunity for our young people to have unique experiences, connect, and have fun. Whether it’s gaming, movies, outdoor activities, or cultural experiences, these events help build confidence, friendships, and a stronger sense of community.”
Youth Week 2025 is made possible through joint funding from the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and the Council. This initiative is part of a broader NSW Government program supporting youth-led events across the state.
By offering these activities, Glen Innes Severn Council aims to strengthen community connections while providing young people with valuable leadership and event management experience. All events will be held at various locations across Glen Innes, ensuring accessibility for the broader community.
