An exhibition by the Cameron Art Group at the Gawura Gallery (9979 New England Highway – just on the southern outskirts of town) is showcasing a diverse collection of works by local Glen Innes artists, with all pieces available for purchase.
The group, made up of dedicated community artists who meet weekly to share skills and support each other’s creative development, will present artworks across a range of styles and mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels.
While all works are for sale, visitors are welcome to simply browse and enjoy the exhibition, with organisers encouraging the community to “come and have a look—you just might fall in love.”
The exhibition will run across multiple dates throughout April, with gallery viewing available from 10am to 4pm on selected days between 1 April and 23 May. The extended schedule provides ample opportunity for residents and visitors to drop in at their convenience Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. Closed over the Easter Weekend (from Good Friday re-opening on Wednesday 8 April. Closed on Anzac Day.
Free entry and open to all, the exhibition highlights the strength and creativity of the local arts community and offers the chance to purchase original works as gifts or for personal collections.
