Ladies Golf 16 ladies played a stableford event on Wednesday. Winner was Julie Newsome with 40 points, backing up her win in the Par event the previous week. Runner up was Leta Kempton with a great 37 points. Pru Newby picked up the nearest the pin on the 12th.

Wednesday Mens A smaller field of 18 players competed in the Wednesday Stableford. Winner was Graham Price with 40 points with Gary Cameron coming in second with 39 points. Golfing partners Jarad Collins, Dawso and Andrew McGovern cleaned up the majority of the nearest the pins, with Jared taking the Pro Pin on the 17th, Dawso the 7th and Andrew the 4th. Graham Price cleaned up the scraps being closest to the pin on the 14th.

Veterans Golf 25 players played the monthly stableford with new lady player Sally-Anne Newberry winning the Board Handicap on a countback from Gordon Wollen both with 40 points, Sally-Anne also collected the Super Six. Winner with Mickey Mouse points was Phil Kiehne with Eddie Cheshire coming in second. Nearest the pins went to Graham Price on the 4th and Richard GaHa collected the Pro Pin on the 17th. Tuesday saw the playing of the annual Clayden Shield. This is an event between Glen Innes Grafton, Deepwater, Inverell and Deepwater. The event has been sponsored by the Clayden family from Grafton since 1994. 72 players competed for the annual shield. Glen Innes managed to hold off a strong Grafton contingent to win by 1 point to retain the shield.

Division 1, Terry Watters won 2nd Division whilst Richard GaHa won the 3rd division. Gary Cameron picked up nearest the pin on the 4th and Phil Evans on 14th. Richard GaHa also collected the Pro Approach second shot on the 5th. Glen players will travel to Grafton later in the year to compete against Grafton.

Friday 9 Hole Competition In what could only be described as a terrible day for golf 10 diehards took on the back 9 in the Friday 9-hole competition. Jimmy Adams was the winner with 20 points on a count back from Sally Wollen, great scores considering the conditions!

There is likely to be only one Friday comp game remaining so if you want a last
chance to win the chipping comp don’t miss out, around $400!

Saturday Golf Saturday was a Medley with a great field of 44 playing a stableford. The winner was Muswellbrook golfer Dylan Fuller with a great 40 points, a host of players on 38 had a long wait to see if they collected Di Brown was second on a countback from Mike Stone, Jake Every, Reg Walls and Harry Sanderson all with 38 points.

The Pro Pin on the 7th went to Steve Zahn, 4th Jarad Collins, 12th Luke Hammond, 14th Jake Every and Matty McHarg on the 17th.

Sunday Golf Sunday was another Medley Stableford, with the weather improved 34 players enjoyed the day. Winner was Harry Sanderson with a great 41 points on a countback from Kirrily Brooke. The Pro Pin on the 12th went to Joe Carpenter, the 4th Harry Sanderson, the 7th to Gary Cameron, 14th Kirrily Brooke and Glen Bennett on the 17th.

Coming up The club will be closed on Friday for the Good Friday Holiday.
The Veterans Week of Golf starts on Easter Monday with a 4 BBB, approximately 95 players will play over the week.

Wednesday is a rest day and the club will run the normal competitions.
