Residents across the Glen Innes Severn region are being encouraged to apply for flexible local jobs connected with the upcoming Australian Census, after concerns emerged about a low number of applications from within the district. Regional stakeholders involved in Census 2026 awareness and recruitment campaigns say the Glen Innes Severn local government area has so far recorded a low response to recruitment efforts for Field Officer positions.
