Top of the Range Murray Grey Sale

Despite challenging seasonal conditions across the Glen Innes district, the annual Top of the Range Sale delivered a strong result, highlighting continued confidence in the region’s cattle industry.

Twenty-four of the 30 bulls offered were sold, reaching a top price of $11,000 on two occasions and averaging $6,500. In the stud female section, 14 of 17 lots sold to a top of $4,000, averaging $2,732, while commercial females reached $2,950.

The Mike Trayner Trophy was awarded to Lot 35, Dehavalyn Whittingham, (shown above) which shared the equal top bull price.

Organisers thanked vendors, buyers, underbidders, agents and the many workers who contributed to another successful sale.
