Each year the Glen Innes Severn Council Australia Day Committee proudly presents several awards at an Australia Day ceremony to recognise the voluntary achievements of fellow citizens, community groups and community events by acknowledging their outstanding contribution to our community through service or community work, or through individual dedication and contribution to a particular group or the whole community, during any period of time. Glen Innes Public School teacher Carla Bryant has been recognised with the Red Cross Humanitarian Partner Award for her exceptional commitment to the Red Cross Youth program. The award, presented at the New South Wales Red Cross Annual General Meeting in Sydney, celebrates Carla’s dedication to inspiring young people to help others.
