Glen Innes Severn’s Australia Day celebrations began in true country style with a “breakfast of champions” at Red Range Hall, where the Red Range Hall Committee pulled off a near-miraculous loaves and fishes effort. Locals and visitors alike enjoyed barbecued sausage and egg, steak and onion sandwiches, with generously donated steak from Rangers Valley earning particular appreciation. Australia Day Ambassador Dr Clio Cresswell set the tone with a short but engaging address that proved even mathematics can entertain on a public holiday morning.
