The Glen Innes Tennis Club (GIDTA) were pleased to host the Glen Innes round of the JDS North West RMS series on Sunday 27th July. There was an excellent turn out for the tournament with players from across the North West region. While the weather was a bit chilly, there was plenty of hot food and a warm welcome in the clubhouse which was appreciated by players and spectators alike. HOT SHOTS FOR JUNIORS: There’s a buzz of excitement every Saturday morning during school terms as young tennis players aged 4 to 15 gather for the Community Play ‘Hot Shot’ Sessions (run by Glen Innes District Tennis Association volunteers). The Tennis ‘Hot Shots’ program is a game-based approach designed by Tennis Australia specially for children to introduce them to the fun of playing tennis and develop basic skills.
