New Nurses To Boost Glen Innes Health Services

The Glen Innes community is set to benefit from an influx of new nurses, as part of a wider initiative to strengthen healthcare services across the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). A total of 237 graduate nurses and midwives have joined the District’s workforce under NSW Health’s GradStart program. The program provides new graduates with valuable hands-on experience across various clinical settings, including emergency departments, acute services, maternity services, and hospital clinics. Seniors’ Fitness Programs Shake Up Local Wellness Scene

Glen Innes has a number of fitness programs designed especially for seniors. Rural Fit has now been running its early intervention healthy aging exercise program in Glen Innes for 18 months. Tailored to the needs of those over 60, the exercise sessions take place every Wednesday morning at the Glen Innes Indoor Sports Centre on West Avenue.
