Skin Patrol was proud to attend the Glen Innes Show for the first time, delivering a dedicated community skin check clinic focused on early detection and accessible care. Across the weekend, 199 community members booked in for a comprehensive skin assessment, with 163 patients screened directly by our Skin Cancer Doctor. Our team saw more than 48 patients on Saturday, and Sunday was our largest clinic day with 58 patients. The past 12 months have been a significant and demanding year for our volunteers within Glen Innes Severn RFS, both locally and further afield. Throughout our 15 brigades within Glen Innes Severn, our members have responded to grass fires, bushfires, structure fires and motor vehicle accidents, while also carrying out hazard reduction activities aimed at protecting homes, farms and critical infrastructure. Behind every callout are hours of training, equipment maintenance, and preparation to ensure crews are ready when needed.
