The countdown is on for the 2025 Glen Innes Show, set to take place from Friday, 14th to Sunday, 16th February 2025. With a thrilling lineup of activities, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun, the Glen Innes Show promises to be one of the biggest events on the local calendar.
This year, the Glen Innes Show will once again host some of its most popular attractions, including the Highlands Country Rodeo on the Friday night, and spectacular fireworks displays on both the Friday and Saturday evenings. The ever-popular lolly scramble will also return, delighting children and families both nights.
Science and nature enthusiasts will enjoy the return of Fizzics Education, with their Liquid Nitrogen Show, while animal lovers can look forward to the Wildlife Twins Reptile Show, featuring native animals like dingoes and wombats.
Fishing fans can get hands-on with the Berkley Super Fishing Tank, where expert demonstrations will teach catch and release techniques, tips for preserving your catch for the dinner table, and lure and gear advice for beginners.
For motor enthusiasts, the Fords vs Holden Trackskill Team will perform on the Saturday, bringing thrilling car action to the Showgrounds. Saturday night’s events will finish with the crowd favourite Demolition Derby.
In a fun twist, the Cock-a-doodle-doo competition will see a lucky rooster caller walk away with a $500 prize. The best rooster call will earn the coveted prize, so it’s time to start practicing!
The Pavilions will again be a focal point, hosting the Rainbow Cake competition, where entrants will compete to bake the most vibrant and creative cakes, with specific preparation guidelines provided. Also returning is the Dance Spectacular, a showcase of local talent.
For foodies, the Gourmet Fiesta is not to be missed, with renowned guest chef Matt Golinski returning to share his culinary expertise. Of course, no Show would be complete without the bustling Side Show Alley, full of exciting rides, games, and stalls that will keep visitors entertained all weekend long.
