Local Junior Rugby Superstar to Debut with NSW Waratahs

One of Glen’s female superstars of local junior rugby is Lily Grieve.

This weekend (14/15 December), she makes her debut for the NSW Waratahs U18 team in the girls’ Provincial Tri-Series in Sydney.

Lily put a premiership in her pocket with the Glen Innes Elks last season and she is now taking her first steps in a career that Glen Innes residents will watch with excitement.

She will play three games, the first against the President’s team on Friday night, another against a West Australian team on Saturday night and another against Western Australia on Sunday morning.

Lily will be wearing number 12 as a running back at Inside Centre.

She is a strong runner and a powerful tackler, and is sure to make her mark on the games.
