Glen Innes News Printed Edition Launches Today

We’re thrilled to bring you the very first print edition of Glen Innes News! This marks an exciting step forward for us after launching online in November 2024, and we’re delighted to continue sharing stories that matter to our community—now in a format you can hold in your hands.

The print version of Glen Innes News is available from a wide variety of outlets across the Glen Innes Highlands region, including local shops, cafes, community hubs and the newsagent. A list of pick-up locations is available on our website by clicking here. You can also read the latest print edition here on our website. The printed edition of Glen Innes News will be published fortnightly, and is absolutely free.

Our volunteers will be busily running around today dropping in copies to all of our pick-up points. If you see them out and about, be sure to say hi.

Local stories are what keep us connected. Whether it’s celebrating school achievements, cheering on our local sports teams, or shedding light on the everyday issues that we face, these stories make Glen Innes the vibrant place we all love. Glen Innes News is here to shine a spotlight on all the moments, big and small, that shape our region.

Since going online, the support we’ve received from our local community has been incredible. Your readership, feedback, and encouragement have shown just how much the Glen Innes community values having a dedicated source for local news. With this print edition, we’re excited to reach even more of you and keep strengthening our engagement with the local community.

At its heart, Glen Innes News is a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers. Every story we publish, every event we cover, and every milestone we celebrate is made possible by the dedication and passion of people who care deeply about our community. It’s a labour of love, and we’re always looking for new voices and fresh perspectives. If you’re interested in joining our team as a volunteer, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you have experience in writing, photography, editing, or simply a love for local news, there’s a place for you here.

This sense of community involvement is what fuels us. By volunteering with Glen Innes News, you’ll not only contribute to telling the stories that matter but also help ensure our region remains informed and connected. If you’ve ever thought about being part of something meaningful and making a real difference in our town, now is the perfect time to get involved.

Of course, none of this would be possible without you—our readers, contributors, and supporters. Whether you’ve read our articles, shared our stories, sent us news tips, or supported us through advertising or donations, you’ve helped make Glen Innes News what it is today. Printing and distributing a newspaper is an expensive undertaking, and it simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our advertisers and donors. Local news thrives on community involvement, and we’re so grateful for your contributions.

As we kick off this new chapter, we’d love to hear from you. Do you have a story that deserves to be told, an event that needs highlighting, or a local issue that warrants attention? Let us know! Your input ensures that we remain a relevant and vibrant voice for our region. And if you enjoy what we’re doing, tell your friends and neighbours about us. Your support will help keep Glen Innes News going strong.

This is only the beginning. We are excited to see Glen Innes News grow and evolve. For this newspaper to deliver what our readers want and need, your feedback is vital. If there’s something you think we are doing well, or something that you believe we could do better, please tell us about it.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
