The Glen Innes Men’s Shed have always been a strong supporter of local charities and organisations.
Last week through the generous support of the local community they we able to make a new round of donations:
- $1,000 to Karinya a local, self funded elderly housing project
- $2,000 to Can Assist which does a great job assisting with transportation costs etc of local cancer patients.
- $1,100 Minerama Sponsorship to help with the organisation and running of this important local event.
- $1,000 to Glen Innes News who provide a valuable resource in keeping us informed about events in our local community.
The Glen Innes Men’s Shed also provided funding for very worthwhile community projects not based in our local area but impact us in Glen Innes:
- $2,000 to Backtrack which has an 80% success rate with stopping young offenders re offending.
- $1,000 to Westpac Rescue Helicopter
All up The Glen Innes Men’s Shed donated $8,100 to these very worthwhile organisations.
