Cricket Revival In Glen Innes
Attempts are being made to revive a Saturday or Sunday cricket competition in Glen Innes. A sport which was extremely strong in the town in the past, has fallen by the wayside in recent times. Where Glen Innes once had a number of club, pub and business teams competing, including a team from the Correctional Centre, and where Glen Innes once had players who starred in district and regional teams, organisers are struggling to have their mid-week 20/20 competition attract more than four teams.
