Weekly Golf Wrap Week Congratulations to our green keepers Zac & Lucas as the course looks fantastic. Also, a special mention to all the volunteers doing their bit around the course! Ladies Golf 14 ladies played a stableford with the winner Lindy Newsome with 37 points from Pru Newby with 36. The ladies have their 2-day tournament on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th February. Skin Check highly successful

Skin Patrol was proud to attend the Glen Innes Show for the first time, delivering a dedicated community skin check clinic focused on early detection and accessible care. Across the weekend, 199 community members booked in for a comprehensive skin assessment, with 163 patients screened directly by our Skin Cancer Doctor. Our team saw more than 48 patients on Saturday, and Sunday was our largest clinic day with 58 patients. The strong turnout reflects the Glen Innes community’s proactive approach to skin health and the clear demand for specialist services in regional areas. RFS Volunteers: seen locally, nationally and internationally

The past 12 months have been a significant and demanding year for our volunteers within Glen Innes Severn RFS, both locally and further afield. Throughout our 15 brigades within Glen Innes Severn, our members have responded to grass fires, bushfires, structure fires and motor vehicle accidents, while also carrying out hazard reduction activities aimed at protecting homes, farms and critical infrastructure. Behind every callout are hours of training, equipment maintenance, and preparation to ensure crews are ready when needed. Council supported this proposal and approved the preferred operating model (Option 3: Council & Community Operated) co-designed in collaboration with key stakeholders. Further Council endorsed the proposed amendments to the 2025/26 Fees and Charges relating to the room hire at the School of Arts and Music of $10 per hour. IPART PUBLISHES GLEN INNES SEVERN COUNCIL SRV APPLICATION

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) published Glen Innes Severn Council’s Special Rate Variation (SRV) application at 11.59pm on Monday 16 February 2026. IPART has opened a three-week community consultation period from 17 February to 9 March 2026, during which residents, businesses and stakeholders can provide feedback directly to IPART via an online survey or written submission. Council’s application seeks approval for a cumulative Special Rate Variation of 48.3 per cent over the life of the application.
