The Returning Officer declared her elected on Monday, 1 September 2025, after the countback was uncontested—only one application was received to participate. Under New South Wales electoral law, when a councillor resigns mid-term and was elected through proportional representation, a countback is used to fill the vacancy rather than holding a full by-election. Glen Innes Severn Council has partnered with Glen Industries to deliver the Glen Innes Landfill Revegetation Project during 2025–2026. The initiative is supported by the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, which has provided $20,000 to Council to help restore the site. The project aims to enhance biodiversity, reconnect wildlife corridors, improve ecological and visual amenity, and strengthen slope stability at the landfill. Plans for a major upgrade of the ANZAC Park playground are moving ahead, with the project set to transform the existing play area into a nature-themed, inclusive, and engaging space for children of all ages. Consultation on the ANZAC Nature Play Park has now concluded, with Glen Innes Severn Council thanking residents for their input into the project. At its Extraordinary Meeting on 7 March 2025, the Council agreed to subdivide the land at 148 Church Street. The rear portion—approximately 2,335 m²—encompasses the historic former Glen Innes Power Station and its adjoining sealed carpark.
