Crofters Cottage, the popular café at the Standing Stones, is celebrating Christmas with a colouring competition for children — but time is running out to enter. The competition is open to three age groups: 0–5 years, 5–10 years and 10–15 years. To take part, children simply need to collect an entry form from Crofters Cottage, colour it in, and return it to the café by Saturday 20 December, when the competition closes. A range of fun prizes is already on display at the café, tempting young artists to get creative. Winners in each age category will be announced on Sunday…

Poking cattle around one day......National Champion the next. Local young lady, Lali Alt has taken out National Champion. Competing in the Southern Cross Feeds EA Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships Lali brought home the Intermediate rider 12,13,14 years Champion representing NSW and  riding Kolbeach Cowboy, owned by Lali. The Glen Innes Red Cross has officially launched its 24th Annual Christmas Tree Exhibition at the Town Hall, and festive spirit is already filling the room. More than 50 trees are on display this year, each one an original, created by individuals, families, businesses, schools or community groups.
