Outstanding academic achievement was celebrated at a recent DUX ceremony, recognising the dedication and hard work of students who excelled in their studies. Top honours were awarded to Howard Eastwood, named DUX, with Kayden Elliott achieving second place and Rory Husband securing third place. New Playground Opens

New Playground Opens

Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan was on-hand to unveil the new, $1.2 million play space at Glen Innes’ Anzac Park at its official opening on Saturday, 7 February. $500,000 was secured from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund Round 5 which kick-started the project. Another $600,000 was contributed by the Federal Government and another $100,000 by the Glen Innes Severn Council. The new play area includes inclusive, imaginative, sensory, active, adventure and nature-based equipment. After an application and interviewing process with the Scholarship Project Committee the club is very happy to announce that three students have been awarded our Post Secondary Scholarship for 2025. In 2025 the club received applications from three worthy students whom we are pleased to assist in their future studies. Last call for young artists!

Crofters Cottage, the popular café at the Standing Stones, is celebrating Christmas with a colouring competition for children — but time is running out to enter. The competition is open to three age groups: 0–5 years, 5–10 years and 10–15 years. To take part, children simply need to collect an entry form from Crofters Cottage, colour it in, and return it to the café by Saturday 20 December, when the competition closes. Competing in the Southern Cross Feeds EA Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships Lali brought home the Intermediate rider 12,13,14 years Champion representing NSW and  riding Kolbeach Cowboy, owned by Lali.
