The following temporary road closures will be in place for the Glen Innes Remembrance Day March: Parallel parking on the south side of Bourke Street (from Grey Street to East Avenue) will be closed from approximately 7:00 am to 11:15 am to reserve an assembly area. Bourke Street west-bound (from Grey Street to East Avenue) will be closed from approximately 9:45 am to 11:15 am for March participants to assemble. Glen Innes Severn Council has commissioned an independent, qualified arborist to conduct detailed assessments of local trees to enhance public safety and ensure the health of urban green spaces. This assessment has covered prominent areas across Glen Innes, including Church Street, the Main Centre, Centennial Parklands, Glen Innes Cemetery, King George Park, King Edward Park, Glen Innes Skate Park, Emmaville RSL Park, Veness Park, and ANZAC Park. The RSPCA NSW Glen Innes Volunteer Supporter Group has donated a new drinking fountain for pets and their owners to use when walking their furry friends in Glen Innes.
