Members of the Glen Innes Highlands Lioness Lions Club have again been busy bringing joy to the lives of disadvantaged Glen Innes families.
Coordinator, Lion Leonie Lee, organised collection boxes for donations of new toys and books. These were left at key points around Glen Innes, including Glen Innes West Infants School, Glen Innes Public School, Glen Innes High School, Carrells Toy Store and Services NSW.
Along with the many donations collected from these points and a grant from Sapphire Wind Farm, the Glen Innes Highlands Lioness Lions Club were able to provide gifts for 75 children and 18 families, which were distributed by Glen Innes Family & Youth Support Services. Members of the club spent many happy hours sorting and wrapping the gifts, along with 1st Vice District Governor, Narelle Peters.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Glen Innes community for again supporting this worthwhile cause and hope that you will continue to support the toy drive in future years.
