One of Glen Innes’ most treasured traditions returns again this year — the big Christmas Day lunch at the Town Hall. The Scheer family has been involved since the event began 15 years ago, and for the past decade the Scheers have taken the helm, with only a short break during the Covid years. Astrid Scheer is the driving force behind the celebration, supported by her brother Rob, the ever-entertaining emcee, while brother Andy lends a hand to Santa Claus himself. GIPS NEWS Glen Innes Public School (GIPS) has been buzzing with activity as we approach the end of another busy year. Last week, in partnership with the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG), GIPS celebrated the attendance success of our First Nations students.  Attendance goals were set at the beginning of the term and those who were able to meet their goal were invited to an afternoon of fun games with their families.
