ELKS SECURE FUNDING FOR SEATING UPGRADE

Spectators at the Glen Innes Elks home fixtures will now have somewhere to sit and enjoy the spectacle with Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan delivering funding for new seating. Mr Moylan secured $15,860 for the club to purchase grandstand seats through the Local Sport Grant Program. The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) has released data outlining community participation in the recent Special Rate Variation (SRV) process across New South Wales. The 3-week consultation period opened on 17 February and closed on 9 March 2026.  In total, ten local government areas submitted applications to IPART seeking approval for a Special Rate Variation. As part of its standard process, IPART invited public feedback on each proposal. Churches across Glen Innes are preparing to welcome the community for Easter services, with a range of Good Friday and Easter Sunday gatherings planned. At St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Good Friday will include Stations of the Cross at 10am followed by the Passion Service at 3pm. Mass of Holy Saturday is at 7 pm.
