Council Investigates Waste Collection Incident

Glen Innes Severn Council and waste management contractor JR Richards & Sons are investigating a recent incident where recycling bins were collected with general waste. Upon being made aware of the issue, JR Richards & Sons' local management team worked closely with their operations team to review the matter and confirm the details. Council has stated that immediate steps have been taken to address the situation and ensure that all waste collections are conducted correctly in accordance with Council’s waste and recycling services. If you’re at all interested in reading or writing, you may be interested in the High Country Book Club, or the High Country Writer’s Club which currently run out of the Maker’s Shed in Deepwater. Senior Development Manager, Terry Daly, led discussion about the project, outlining the scope and design as well as fielding questions from local residents.
