More than 70 rural women from Gunnedah, Manilla, Tamworth and Glen Innes VIEW Clubs gathered at the Services Club, Glen Innes, to celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March. They also came to hear a keynote address from the Member for Monaro, The Hon Nichole Overall MLC, a member of The Nationals. Glen Innes residents are invited to come together this Remembrance Day to honour the sacrifices of Australian servicemen and women. This year’s commemorative activities are set to take place on Monday, 11 November, with a traditional march and service to be held in the heart of Glen Innes. Veterans and other participants wishing to join the march are asked to assemble at 10.00 am on the southern side of Bourke Street, at the intersection with Grey Street.
