Ladies Golf 16 ladies played a stableford event on Wednesday. Winner was Julie Newsome with 40 points, backing up her win in the Par event the previous week. Runner up was Leta Kempton with a great 37 points. Pru Newby picked up the nearest the pin on the 12th. Wednesday Mens A smaller field of 18 players competed in the Wednesday Stableford. Winner was Graham Price with 40 points with Gary Cameron coming in second with 39 points. Extra splash of summer as pool season extended

Glen Innes locals aren’t quite done with swimming season yet, with Council confirming an extension for the Glen Innes Aquatic Centre into April. Instead of closing at the end of March, the pool will remain open until Sunday 19 April 2026, giving residents a few extra weeks to squeeze in a swim as the weather begins to cool. To make the most of the autumn sunshine, opening hours will shift to the warmest part of the day, with the centre open daily from 11am to 4pm. Glen Innes Severn Council is calling on local creatives, educators and community organisations to help shape a new School of Arts and Music pilot set to launch in April. GLEN INNES MOVES TO LEVEL 2 WATER RESTRICTIONS

Glen Innes Severn Council has implemented Level 2 water restrictions for Glen Innes after recent inspections of Beardy Weir, which supplies the town’s water. The restrictions have been implemented following inspections that confirmed water levels reached the trigger for Level 2 restrictions under Council’s Drought Management Plan.
