Negotiating the health system, especially in a city foreign to you can be very challenging. Kelly Foran from Friendly Faces, Helping Hands knows this first hand. She was in a position where not only was she struggling with health issues, but she was pregnant with a child who also faced health problems. She was travelling from Bingara to Sydney on a regular basis. She and her husband were under immense pressure. On Sunday afternoon, 30th March, the New England Conservatorium of Music [NECOM] presented the first of three musical afternoons which form its Heritage Homestead Series 2025. Held in the old stables at Rosecroft, the home of Mike and Belinda Norton, the Homestead Series celebrates the architectural heritage of the Glen Innes district with concerts that feature musicians from the Conservatorium in Armidale. The musicians performing at Rosecroft were Hester Wright, soprano, Joanna Fairs-Wu, violin, Robert Manley, violoncello, and Matthew Ardern, harpsichord and pianoforte.
