Fatal Crash on Shannon Vale Road

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s New England region this morning. About 9.20am (Monday 18 August 2025), emergency services were called to Shannon Vale Road, Bald Nob – about 26km east of Glen Innes – following reports a vehicle had crashed. The male driver of the vehicle was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified. Officers attached to New England Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the incident. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Community Feedback Shapes Final ANZAC Nature Play Park Designs

Plans for a major upgrade of the ANZAC Park playground are moving ahead, with the project set to transform the existing play area into a nature-themed, inclusive, and engaging space for children of all ages. Consultation on the ANZAC Nature Play Park has now concluded, with Glen Innes Severn Council thanking residents for their input into the project.
