On Australia Day a free breakfast was held at the Pinkett Hall where over 150 people attended. Later in the morning the Glen Innes & District Services Club hosted a free morning tea followed by the presentation of awards to local citizens and organisations who have made significant contributions to our local community. A citizenship ceremony was also held where two new Australian Citizens were welcomed by the local community. All attendees were also invited to make an Australian citizenship pledge. The gallery had a successful Glen Innes High School exhibition in December following from the Glen Innes Severn Library’s 70th birthday celebrations. Our next exhibition is The Australian Summer, any medium. Entries will be taken on Tuesday 28th January between 10 and 12 at the gallery. The gala opening will be held on Saturday 1st February at 4pm. Everyone is welcome.
