WHAT A DAY! What a day indeed! New England Heritage Traction Club held their first Open Day for the Historic Glen Innes Brickworks. The public voiced their appreciation that ‘someone’ had finally taken on the project. Some attendees had worked there in the past eg; Mick, Keith, Vaughan, Mark, Rusty and Jim. John Marr was the previous licensee of the property and took guided tours. Belting Out Bricks video was viewed by many. The annual Celtic Festival, which draws a myriad of visitors to our town, is also the major fundraiser for the Glen Innes LIONS. The Glen Innes LIONS club have been part of the Glen Innes community since 1953.
